First broadcast in 2005, the American series " The Office " enjoyed growing success, drawing nearly 6 million viewers to its series finale. Set within a paper sales company in Pennsylvania, the show follows the daily lives of its employees and their manager, Michael Scott (Steve Carell). The aim was to give the series a documentary feel : the characters are aware of the camera's presence and react more or less naturally to it, lending a touch of absurdity to the scenes.
